In remembrance of Catherine Roseanne Faulkner...
This page is for any memories and thoughts of our sister that family/friends might want to share. I’m happy to add anything as we march along (your thoughts, images or links). Just email me if there is anything you would like to add.
Beloved daughter, sister to four siblings and mother.
Born in Riverdale, CA and raised in Central Valley of California. After graduating from Bakersfield High School she joined the army and served in Signals Inteligence (radio intercepts) in the Women's Army Corp (West Germany) during the Cold War. She worked various careers including Bookkeeper, Care-giver, Oilfield Roustabout for Standard Oil (Lost Hills, CA), Swamp-meet vendor (Fresno, CA) and Property Manager in Hemet CA and Sunnyvale CA and finally in Santa Cruz, CA, where she was working and lived until her death from lung cancer.
"Make sure my sister knows I loved her
Make sure my mother knows the same
Always remember, there was nothing worth sharing
Like the love that let us share our name"

REMEMBRANCES...
Cathy would take me for drives in her yellow Datsun 1600 convertable around Bakersfield during the spring time, top down and listening to
"Draggin the line"
(one of her favorites) on the car stereo.

Cindy Faulkner here. I would like to put on Cathy’s page how much it meant to me when Cathy and Daniel stayed with me and helped me when Shannon was born, her stay allowed me to finish my last few months of nursing school, l couldn’t have done it without her.
I found these high school photos of Cathy from Bakersfield High School, one from 1971 and one from 1972. They are the beautiful Cathy I remember! - Sue
